Our breeding machine is running at full speed and many spectacular novelties will find their way to the market in the coming years.
Wider assortment at Autumn Trials attracts more visitors than ever before!
Syngenta Flowers 2010 Autumn Trials, held in Andijk from October 18th to November 5th, was universally acclaimed as a resounding success. Syngenta Flowers’ sales team, product managers and crop specialists welcomed visitors who came from all parts of Europe and beyond to view the wide assortment, including Yoder Mums, Pansies and Violas and selected perennial and annual items.
Crop support helps growers to grow their
business.
Technical Support to growers and producers, or
‘Crop Support’ is one of the important services that set top
breeders apart from the crowd. We asked a major grower of
Syngenta varieties to tell us what our Crop Support means for
their business. Chris Need, from Roundstone Nurseries in the
U.K., told us how Technical Services assist him with his
Cyclamen production.
Fleur en Vogue – an exclusive success
With its unique umbrella-shaped flowers, our
purple cyclamen Fleur en Vogue has attracted lots of market
attention. This year, Fleur en Vogue will also be available in
white, offering a second colour for this luxury plant.
Three new sure-fire winners in Salvia superba
Syngenta Flowers is proud to introduce 3 new
additions to its Salvia superba ‘Merleau’ series. Each is a
breakthrough in its own right, and in combination with the
existing Merleau varieties they represent a major step forward
for this first-year flowering perennial series, another success
for Syngenta Flowers’ breeder Har Stemkens.
Syngenta Flowers Deep-Dive initiative
The ‘Deep-Dive’ initiative was created to improve
the quality of Poinsettia cutting production with particular
attention to pest and disease control. One year after the start
of the initiative, the time was ripe to revisit Kenya Cuttings
to evaluate the first year’s progress and results.
